Classic old school adhesive board rails just like I used to make many years ago! These were always popular but I never had enough time to make many of them so they were usually sold out. Now they are back and available via our Blistered brand! *Please note you are paying for 1 set of board rails, that's 2 rails which is enough for 1 board.
What do board rails do?
Board rails are fun in real skateboarding and are used by skaters of all skill levels. Lately they have gained popularity for helping people with combos like boardslide pop up to hurricane, smith, or crook and many more combos. They're also great for sliding farther (on a real skateboard) and changing the feel and friction of your boardslides. Board rails can protect your graphic or bottom ply wood finish. They'll also add a very small amount of weight to your setup making for a nice solid feel that many people love! Additionally the many colors we offer can help accentuate the style of your setup and make it stand out.
How to apply board rails?
Board rails have an adhesive (glue) backing on them, similar to how griptape does. Simply peel the adhesive slowly and carefully, making sure the adhesive is sticking to the board rail and not to the paper backing. If the adhesive comes off, put it back on and start over, press it back on throughout the back of the board rail, and try peeling from a different corner first. Once your backing is peeled off and the glue is on the back of the board rail, just place the board rail on your board where you want it, and press down firmly for a few seconds to stick it on. You're done! Go shred, and enjoy the added weight, smooth slick boardslides, and technical advantage for boardslide pop to grind combos!
