Sorry Fingerboards was started in 2014 in Long Beach, California, born from an event and a passion project rooted in skateboarding, fingerboarding, and the culture that surrounds both. What began around an event and a shared passion has grown into more than a decade of experimentation, building, riding, and learning what makes a fingerboard truly feel right.

Each Sorry Fingerboard is hand crafted in California or Chicago using five plies of Canadian maple, with hand-dyed and carefully selected veneers. From the wood selection to the final shape, every part of the process is done with intention. Our molds have been designed for performance, and with the help of multiple legends in the skateboard manufacturing scene, we've spent years studying and refining the balance of our decks.

We believe a great fingerboard should feel like a skateboard — responsive, predictable, and capable of handling whatever you throw at it. That philosophy is what has driven us to develop a growing lineup of molds, each with its own personality, purpose, and place in the Sorry lineup. Rather than trying to create one shape that does everything, we've spent years experimenting with concave, kicks, wheelbase, and overall geometry to create boards that offer genuinely different riding experiences.

The SF1 is where it all began. It's generally a lower-profile board with mellow concave, a low-to-medium nose and tail, and a slightly longer wheelbase. The longer wheelbase gives the SF1 a more controlled and stable feel, making it a great choice for riders who like a smoother, more predictable board under their fingers.

The SF2 was developed with pure performance in mind. It features medium concave, medium kicks, and a shorter wheelbase, giving it a quicker and more responsive feel. The SF2 is built for riders who want their board to react quickly and stay responsive through technical tricks, fast lines, and everything in between.

The SF3 has been part of Sorry's story for much longer than most people realize. For over five or six years, the SF3 was essentially a personal mold reserved for the Sorry team. It was our way of experimenting with what we liked to ride without necessarily putting it into production. The SF3 combines the mellow concave of the SF1 with the kicks of the SF2, creating a balance between the two.

The result is one of our most versatile shapes. We think the SF3 performs especially well in the Pops Jr. shape, but its versatility is what really makes it special. It's an all-around shape that can handle just about anything that comes your way — technical tricks, big flips, lines, and everything in between.

The SF4 has also been with us for quite some time. Originally developed as an experiment, the SF4 was our attempt to create a much mellower board while still allowing for fast, responsive flicks. It's slightly steeper than the SF1 in terms of its mellow profile, but the shorter wheelbase gives it a quicker response when spinning and flipping the board.

As our lineup continues to grow, the goal isn't simply to create more molds for the sake of having more options. Every Sorry shape comes from years of riding, experimenting, and figuring out what works. Some molds begin as experiments, some become personal favorites, and some eventually become staples for the community.

And while every mold and shape has its own purpose and place, don't let that box you into one style of riding. You can still throw those awesome nollie laser flips just as easily on our Lucy deck. The shape of your board should complement your style, not dictate it.

After more than a decade of building and refining our boards, our goal remains the same: make fingerboards that feel good, ride naturally, and hold up to the way our community actually rides them.
